Over the weekend a video made its rounds through social media that had almost everyone in the town talking. The video captured what appeared to be a group of teenagers fighting at the Lilac Festival. The commotion damaged a few vendor tables and tents. Police & security intervened before anyone got seriously hurt, but it was later reported that the chaos continued outside the festival grounds, and some warning gun shots were fired.

Mayor Lovely Warren is now trying to implement a guardian policy for those festival goers under 18. Majority of the fights that occur at the festivals involve citizens under the age of 18 with no parental supervision. The brisk reaction of security personnel is what has kept most of the altercations at bay, but Mayor Warren is suggesting that young teenagers only be allowed access to the festival grounds with a guardian.

Do you think this will help control the brawls that occur at these type of social gatherings? Is this a step in the right direction?
