Again we morn the loss of another Hip Hop Legend one part of A Tribe Called Quest Phife Dawg.
I had the chance to talk with Phife Dawg from A Tribe Called Quest before his untimely passing. As RollingStone has put it, “Vaunted Nineties hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest, whose five albums blending jazz and rap set a sonic template that continues to reverberate and influence today,” which is so true.
During the interview we talked about the re-release of their groundbreaking 1990 debut Peoples’ Instinctive Travels And The Paths of Rhythm. The Re-release was on November 13th. We also talked about his next projects and his health.
