Community Worship Celebration: Join a free Martin Luther King Day Community Worship Celebration featuring a 200-voice mega choir, 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Jan. 18 at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, 26 Gibbs St. Visit esm.rochester.edu.

Garth Fagan Dance: Continuing its annual tradition, Garth Fagan Dance will honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the best way it knows how: through dance. Five public dance classes will be held on Monday,free, offering community members, with and without dance experience, the opportunity to learn the Fagan Technique directly from the dancers they see on stage. Skate to Commemorate MLK: The rink will be open for ice skating from Noon to 1:30 p.m.; 1:50 to 3:10 p.m. and 3:40 to 5:10 p.m. Skate rentals are $3 and the admission fee of $2 will be waived with a donation of two non-perishable hygiene, cleaning or household items. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration: “Building the Dream Through the Generations.” A march led by members of the Central New York Death Assistance Corporation and area youth to commemorate the many marches that King led in the name of social justice.
