Nationwide Fake Jordan Smuggling Ring Busted

Are you rocking fake Jay’s?
Five individuals have been arrested for selling bootleg Jordan’s across the nation, about 400,000 pairs worth over $70 million. 
Mikuki Suen, 43, Jian Min Huang, 42, Songhua Qu, 54, Kin Lui Chen, 53, and Fangrang Qu, 31 all have been charged for shipping the counterfeit sneakers from China to the U.S. and then selling them across the country.
Homeland Security along with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said the counterfeiting crew had warehouses in Brooklyn and Queens where they placed the Nike logo on the sneakers then shipped them out.
Authorities confiscated 42 shipping containers with fake Air Jordan VII’s and Air Jordan XI’s.
All five fake sneaker smugglers face up to the maximum 20 years in prison.
Jordan’s are some of the most expensive sneakers on the market and undoubtedly the most popular since the late 1980’s.
So if you are out here selling bootleg Jordan’s just know authorities say it threatens national security and they are cracking down on fakes….
As a consumer make sure you are purchasing your Jordan’s from a reputable store online or off.
