Two Patients Contracted Hepatitis C From Nurse May Be 2,600 More Infected

#Frontliners here is a story that just blew my mind when I read it, smh.
In Puyallup, Washington two people have contracted Hepatitis C from a nurse who allegedly used needles intended for patients in ER to do drugs and then used them on patients.
Authorities in Washington said the nurse who has not been identified was in fact stealing narcotics from the hospital for personal use. They also said the nurse may have used the same needles used to inject the patients.
The nurse no longer works at that hospital were she administered antihistamines and sedatives in the emergency room.
The incidents took place between April 2017 and March 2018 and the nurse did test positive for Hep C.
Here is the worst part, there are two patients confirmed to have contracted the blood borne infection and the hospital is urging 2,600 people to get tested some not even treated by the nurse.
Smh..
The hospital sent out letters to the patients they feel should be tested and they are offering treatment for the infection if you did contract the infection.
