Written by on March 13, 2018

Ava DuVernay director of “A Wrinkle In Time” and Ryan Coogler director of “Black Panther” make history as it is the first time ever two black directors hold the top two spots at the box office over the weekend!  Black Panther hit it’s $1 billion mark worldwide which makes Ryan Cooler only the second black director to reach that $1 billion mark. F. Gary Gray was the first to reach that mark with The Fate Of The Furious.
A Wrinkle In Time made $33 million over the weekend putting it right behind Black Panther for opening weekend which is a great start. That makes Ava DuVernay the first black woman to direct a film with a $100 million budget and the first black woman to top the box office opening weekend.
What a time to be alive!!! Love it, love it, lovvvveeee it!!
