Fair Or Foul: Server Is Fired After Facebook Post

Written by on February 12, 2018

A server at an Outback Steakhouse in Palm Beach, Florida was fired from her job after she posted on Facebook how disappointed she was when she did not receive a tip.
The server, Tamlynn Yoder, 25 said she did not receive a tip after a large order was placed by Christ Fellowship church that totaled $735.
Yoder told WSVN-TV “We take the order over the phone, we put the order together, take payment and then take order to the car, It’s a lot of work, just as much as serving.”
She said she brought it to the car and received no gratuity. In her frustration with the situation she took to Facebook to vent and that’s when a friend of hers told her to take the post down and they would call the church.
Someone from the church called Outback to make the situation right but when Yoder got to work the next she was terminated. Outback refunded the church the $735.
In the employee handbook it states you could be terminated for posting about customers on social media, it is forbidden.
Frontliners do you think this is fair or foul? #letstalk
