Jennifer Hudson To Play Aretha Franklin In Upcoming Biopic

Put the rumors to rest Halle Berry will NOT be playing the role of the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin in the upcoming biopic.  
Legendary Aretha Franklin had originally said she wanted Halle Berry to be her younger self but that idea was scrapped for what ever reason and Jennifer Hudson was added to the roster.
This biopic everyone is on board so it should be very well put together. Plus JHud has the vocals to fill Franklin’s shoes!
The Queen os Soul is one of the most honored artists in the history of the Grammy’s and she was an icon in the civil rights movement so there will be a lot to cover in this biopic.

So who is up for the task of writing the screenplay??
MGM is backing the film but they have yet to find writers.
The Aretha Franklin biopic will be produced by N.W.A. Straight Outta Compton Scott Bernstein.
