National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day dedicated to those who protect and serve

(DAIQUON)– Jan 9 is the day to thank law enforcement for protecting us and risking their lives daily.
There are about 18,000 police departments in the U.S., with more than 900,000 active officers. Last year, a total of 128 police officers across the country were killed while on the clock.
To show their support many people are wearing blue today and sharing positive stories via social media.
Today at 3 pm, Gates Town Hall will hold a ceremony to show officers how much they are appreciated for the hard work they provide each and every day.
