This is a pretty big announcement as NFL teams are not usually “put up for sale”. Owning an NFL franchise is one of the most sought after businesses in sports so no wonder Diddy aka Sean Combs went on social media to put in his bid for the team and Steph Curry wants in as well!

An NFL team has not been sold since 2014 when the Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson died. The Bills sold for an unprecedented $1.4 billion the most for an NFL team.
NFL franchises for sale is a rare occasion because most of the owners who purchased them keep them in the family. For example the NY Giants were purchased in 1925 for $500 by Tim Mara and now belongs to John Mara and Robert Tisch and valued at $1.18 billion according to Business Insider.
The Chicago Bears were bought in 1920 for $100 by George Halas and was passed on to Virginia McCaskey Halas. Today’s the Bears are worth $1.1 billion.
That is to give you an idea of how rare it is to be able to purchase an entire NFL franchise.
Do you think Diddy has a chance to buy the team?
