Rochester’s first African American news Reporter Passes

Rochester’s first African American woman news reporter Wyoma Best passed away at age 74 Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Best was the first Black woman to serve on the city school board, be a television reporter (WHEC 1972), and one of the first Black women managers at the Greater Rochester Metro Chamber of Commerce.
