2014 marks the 7th Anniversary for the African American Festival. Even though the festival is still in its young stage, it has drawn an average of four to five thousand attendees each year it has been held and we believe the attendance will continue to grow.

The Rochester A.B.O.V.E. Board is happy and proud to announce the following entertainment line-up: Paradigm Shift, Ignite, Tru Soul, Host Avery Blackman, Nicole Rose African Fashion Show, Gospel Hour, Poetry and more...

In addition to the above entertainment, there will be a children activities, delicious foods, information, product and service vendors and many more local artists.

Festival hours are: 11am until 7pm - Free Admission

About A.B.O.V.E. (Achieving & Bringing Our Vision to Excellence):
Established in January 2005, it is a non-profit organization based in Rochester N.Y.
Rochester A.B.O.V.E. received not-for-profit status on January 10, 2006. The organization's focus is to build unity, pride, self-esteem, cultural awareness and education among African Americans and people of African origin living in Rochester and Western New York.

About the African American Festival:
The purpose of the festival is to bring the diverse community together to celebrate and share the
African/African American Heritage through Art, Dance, Music, Spoken Word and much more.
