New Edition Sued By Former Mangers For $500,000

New Edition might not be able to "stand the rain" after their latest setback.

Just weeks after Bobby Brown announced he would not be participating in their current tour, the singing group is now facing a legal hindrance.

Benchmark Entertainment, New Edition's former management group, slammed the band with a lawsuit of $500,000, claiming the band fired them and refused to pay them for any work they did getting this year's tour on the road, the Daily News reports.

Steven Greener, Kevin Gasser and John Hammond, founders of Benchmark, filed the lawsuit on Tuesday in Manhattan Supreme Court.

The $500,000 is for duties such as "setting up radio interviews, photo shoots, merchandising deals, hiring a publicist, nailing down locations" that they performed while hired.

New Edition's tour finishes in Los Angeles on August 3.
