Two of the nearly one dozen employees accused of failing to provide adequate care to a patient at Blossom North Nursing Home have admitted their wrongdoing.
Christy Holmes and Krista Stevenson pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of willful violation of public health law in Rochester City Court. Both women were given the option by the state attorney general's medicaid fraud control unit to give up their nurse aide certificates.
Stevenson did while, Holmes declined to do so.
Eleven nurses were charged in March with felony and misdemeanor charges. Authorities said nurses failed to properly provide medication, measure blood sugar and care for the catheter of a man who was a double-amputee. The man later died.
Holmes and Stevenson will be sentenced on July 17. The court cases for the other nine defendants are continuing.
