The five people who face drug and weapons charges after police turned up a gun used in a triple homicide were arraigned Thursday.
Andre McFarlane, Steve Fulcott, Carlos White, Ronald Jefferson and Jesica Leonard pleaded not guilty in Monroe County Court. Various bail amounts were set, including one million dollars for White, who has a prior conviction.
The suspects are not charged with the Chili Avenue homicides, but police say the gun used to kill Jermeliah and Jacquelyn Simmons and Michael Nelson was found in February when all five were arrested on Clifford Avenue.
"That investigation is still ongoing, I know its a joint investigation between state, federal and local authorities. They've really been working around the clock to make sure that justice is done for those three individuals that were killed on Chili Avenue," said prosecutor Kelly Wolford.
A sixth person arrested on the drug charges, Marlando Allen, is expected to be arraigned Friday.
The other suspects return to court May 29 for motions.
