The website 9to5mac.com reports an iPhone's trade-in value will no longer be affected by the liquid damage indicator starting this week.
Previous policy dictated a phone would be worthless for a trade in if the indicator were tripped.
The change only applies to in-store trade-ins and does not allow for seriously water-damaged phones to be traded in.
If there's evidence of liquid under the display or corrosion in the ports, you're out of luck.
