Going for a walk during your lunch break could lower your risk for breast cancer.
Researchers at the American Cancer Society looked at exercise habit data from 70,000 women over a 17-year period. Women who worked out vigorously for an hour a day had a 25-percent reduced risk for breast cancer.
Women who went for a daily walk at a moderate pace reduced that risk by 14-percent.
Researchers say walking is easier to fit into your daily routine than an extreme workout. When researchers added in other factors, like weight, family history and hormone use, walking benefits still applied.
