The Rochester City School District and the University of Rochester have teamed up to improve health care for more than 1,000 children and teens annually.
The grand opening of a new School-Based Health Center on the Frederick Douglass Campus on Fernwood Park will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m.
It is part of a team project with the City Schools, the University of Rochester School of Nursing and the U.R.M.C..
Representatives from the Rochester City School District say the Center will provide free and comprehensive care for around 1,200 students in grades 7 through 12 every year.
Funding for the project came from a federal grant, along with $523,039 raised by the City School District.
