Thursday's the big day. President Barack Obama will visit Western New York to kick off a two-day bus tour to talk about lowering the cost of higher education.
Air Force One is scheduled to touch down at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, kicking off the president's tour of Upstate New York and Pennsylvania.
President Obama will address a crowd of more than 6,000 at the University at Buffalo.
University Police says those with tickets should arrive at Alumni Arena early in order go through the screening process. Doors open at 9 a.m. and ticketholders are being asked to use the Flint or Coventry entrances to campus.
If you don't have a ticket, Craigslist users are hoping you're ready to open your wallet. Although the tickets were free, we found tickets selling anywhere from $100 to $1,000. But buying online does come with risks: There is no guarantee the tickets for sale on Craigslist are authentic.
One question many are asking is where will President Obama stop to eat, if he does. When the president last visited Western New York, in 2010, he stopped by Duff's to get wings. There, a Duff's customer told him he was a "hottie with a smoking little body."
Employees say they still talk about that day and even saved the check, and the $20 bill Obama paid with. Manager Kaitlyn Duell says the visit also boosted business.
"It was amazing. He brought us a lot of business and we're thankful for that. He came and there were tons of people here. It was packed and it was really an amazing day," she said.
The White House hasn't said if the president will make any other stops other than UB, but there are rumors he might stop by Charlie the Butcher, or even the Rochester area.
