Two explosions, one near a barber shop and the other in front of a city home, happened in the same area about 30 minutes apart.
News10NBC is told an explosive device, possibly fireworks, was thrown threw a back window at "Dream Cutz" on Lyell Avenue near North Plymouth Avenue. That device detonated around 9:30 p.m. Monday, damaging windows and a small room.
The actual barbershop was not damaged and no one was hurt. Investigators are looking at surveillance video to find out who did this.
Twenty-five minutes after that explosion, police were called to Cameron Street, less than a mile away, for a second blast.
An improvised device was set off, damaging the front porch of a home on Cameron Street. That device might have also contained fireworks.
We are told there were people inside the home but no one was hurt.
Investigators are looking into whether the two explosions are connected.
