One person is dead and six others injured following multiple overnight shootings in Rochester.
Rochester police say they were dispatched to South Plymouth Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday morning for multiple gunshots heard.
Upon arriving on scene, police found two men and a woman with gun shot wounds. All three were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where one of the men, a 59-year-old, died about 30 minutes later.
Police say a fourth victim later drove himself to St. Mary's Hospital with a gun shot wound. He was then transported to Strong.
Police don't yet know what lead up to the shooting. The investigating is ongoing.
Two hours before the Plymouth Avenue homicide, police responded to Jefferson Avenue for shots fired.
Rochester police say an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old were shot and within minutes, a 19-year-old was shot a block away. Those three victims were transported to the Strong with what police say are non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
