American Idol is facing a possible lawsuit from 10 ex-idol contestants. They claim the show treated them unfairly because they are African-American.
The suit began in January, when New York Attorney James H. Freeman sent a letter to Idol that claimed the group was treated unfairly and were disqualified by producers because they are black.
Freeman also stated the actions of the show's producers exploited black contestants, and perpetuate "destructive stereotypes"
TMZ first reported the story. Entertainment Weekly reports each plaintiff seeks $25 million, minimum, in damages.
Uh oh, American Idol this may be a sign it is time for you to pack it up and bow out gracefully before it get's ugly.
