The U.S. government filed an objection in federal court to a portion of Eastman Kodak's restructuring plan to get out of bankruptcy.
It relates to the Eastman Business Park. The Environmental Protection Agency objects to an
agreement made in June between Kodak, debtors, the state DEC, and the Empire State Development Corporation.
While Kodak agreed to pay for environmental remediation at the park, the EPA thinks the $49 million set aside for the work won't be enough to do the job.
The government says its working with the state DEC, however further action can be taken if necessary.
