Robbery Suspect Arrested After Assault On St. John Fisher Campus

Pittsford, N.Y. - A man accused of robbery in Macedon was arrested on the campus of St. John Fisher Tuesday night, after crashing his car and allegedly assaulting three college employees.

It began 9 p.m. Tuesday night, when Macedon Police began chasing the suspect. He crashed his car on Route 490 near the East Rochester exit. The 28-year-old then fled onto the St. John Fisher campus, where he allegedly attempted to steal a woman's car. She fought back, and two of her co-workers came to her aid. One of them had a bat, which police say the suspect grabbed and used on all three victims. Two of them were taken to the hospital. One will need surgery on his hand, the other victim was not severely hurt.

Police have not yet released the name of the suspect or the details of the Macedon robbery, but they say the man has been arrested before. The suspect is being treated at the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
