Brockport, N.Y. - Change is coming to the village of Brockport.
Mayor Connie Castaneda was defeated by village trustee Margay Blackman Tuesday, winning 64 percent of the vote.
As of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Blackman won with 613 votes to Castaneda's 355.
The results follow a stormy tenure for Castaneda. Last year, she pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of official misconduct and two counts of falsifying business records.
She was accused of illegally renting two bedrooms in her home to two college students. She was cleared of those charges.
Four candidates ran for two Village Trustee positions, with Carol Hannan and Valerie Ciciotti winning with 589 and 598 votes, respectively.
