Henrietta, N.Y. - The Monroe County Sheriff's Department is releasing very few details about a Sunday incident in which a hazardous material, or materials, were found in a Henrietta apartment complex.
Early Sunday morning, Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Highlands Apartment complex for a call about male who was acting irrational. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found chemicals that they deemed to be a public safety concern.
Soon after, fire officials and bomb squad personnel were called to the scene. The hazardous chemicals were later taken away for analysis and destruction.
Sheriff's deputies said one building was evacuated as a safety concern.
There have been no arrests, and an investigation is ongoing.
