Rochester, N.Y. - In what will be a very public trial, jury selection took two full weeks.
Megan Merkel and Mark Scerbo are on trial with separate juries.
Merkel's trial begins Thursday morning and Scerbo's in the afternoon.
They are both charged with manslaughter, as well as driving drunk or high, in the death of Heather Boyum.
The popular Fairport teacher was riding her bike along the shoulder on Route 250, a common place for runners and bicycle riders because of the wide shoulders, when she was hit.
Prosecutors say Scerbo hit her with the motorcycle he was riding.
Boyum was thrown onto the road and into the path of a car driven by Merkel.
Boyum's husband told 13WHAM News that the family is hoping for justice and a relatively short trial.
