A Wyoming County woman was accused of driving drunk while traveling more than 100 mph on Interstate 490 over the weekend.
Melissa L. Hunter, 44, of Silver Springs was charged with driving while intoxicated Saturday morning, New York State Police announced Monday.
Trooper Adam Nichols stopped Hunter about 10 a.m., as she was eastbound on I-490 while traveling at a high rate of speed, at least 107 mph, troopers said. Her blood-alcohol content was .18 percent, troopers said, which is more than twice the legal threshold for driving while intoxicated.
Hunter was issued several tickets and is expected to appear in Riga Town Court at a later date.
