Khloe Kardashian Voted Off X-Factor

There's yet another casting shake-up for "The X Factor." Khloe Kardashian will not be returning for the show's third season, joining L.A. Reid and Britney Spears at the "X Factor" retirement home.
Producers have confirmed that the Kardashian sister will no longer host the series, but co-host Mario Lopez will be back for another go-round. "We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors," a spokesperson for the show said in a statement.
Simon Cowell said that he's excited to welcome Lopez back to the show along with returning judge Demi Lovato. "I'm thrilled Mario is back for season three of 'The X Factor.' Hosting a live show and keeping the judges especially Demi in line is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he's coming back," he said.

Back in December 2012, when season two wrapped up, MTV News caught up with Kardashian, who said she hoped she'd be invited back for another season with the show.
"For me, when I was asked if I wanted to do this, I was so blown away. And the fact that Simon has given me the opportunity I've never hosted a thing in my life," she said of joining the program earlier that year. "To do something on this magnitude, I'm so honored and blessed and I just love that I've been able to grow through this whole experience. So I've had a phenomenal time."
The network has not revealed whether someone will replace Kardashian or whether the show will revert to a single-host format. British TV presenter Steve Jones hosted the show solo when it premiered in the U.S. back in 2011. He was canned after one season, along with mentors Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, as well as the short-lived Cheryl Cole.
