Rochester Mayor Tom Richards confirms a program glitch resulted in omissions to the Rochester Police Department's 2012 quarterly crime statistics.
The mayor says he received a report from the police chief about the error involving records provided by the 311 call center.
311 is operated by the police department and allows city residents to report crimes.
The number of omissions and how they'll affect the 2012 crime report is unclear. The mayor says the mistake will not affect the credibility of the program.
YNN hopes to find out more about this from police on Friday.
