Harry Andrews would have been 38 on Wednesday.
Two days before his birthday he was outside on North Goodman helping a friend by filling his car's gas tank.
It was just have 10 p.m. when a vehicle hit him and threw him into the road. The father of two was pronounced dead at Rochester General Hospital.
"We're in denial," said Andrews' cousin, Aisha Clemonts. Clemonts is asking anyone who knows or suspects anything about this crash to contact police.
"I'm just hoping and praying they catch him or her ... you just don't leave somebody by the side of the road and leave them there to die," she said.
Andrews worked for Kodak for 8 years and, like so many others, was laid off.
"He was always a Good Samaritan," Clemonts said. "He was always smiling ... just a good guy."
