An office clerk reported an unsuspecting teenager to police officials in Pennsylvania last week after misinterpreting the words to his cover of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song.
The unnamed receptionist became alarmed when she attempted to leave a voicemail about a doctor's appointment on 19-year-old Travis Clawson's cell phone, only to hear the student reciting Will Smith's famous tune, which features the line, "Shooting some b-ball outside of the school."
The clerk misheard the phrase as "shooting people outside of the school" and contacted the cops, who then ordered a lock-down of all schools in Beaver County while Clawson remained at large.
Clawson, who was later tracked down, quickly explained the misunderstanding and was urged by officials to record a new greeting to prevent further confusion.
