French Montana Addresses Deadly Shooting

Rapper French Montana has expressed his sympathies to the victims of a deadly shooting which took place after his concert in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Thursday.

The hip-hop star was aboard his tour bus, which was parked up outside a Holiday Inn hotel in the city, when a gunman opened fire on a crowd of fans nearby.

Jowann King, who had attended Montana's show at The Theater of the Living Arts earlier that night, died after the 26 year old was shot in the stomach, while another unnamed male was also injured.

Now the rapper, real name Karim Kharbouch, has spoken out to deny any involvement in the shooting and extend his condolences to King's family.

Taking to his Twitter.com page on Friday, he writes, "My bus was located in the vicinity of the incident that took place last night in Philadelphia. I had a peaceful concert and was not involved... My deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to the families of the victims, as well as all of those who were affected."

Police in Philadelphia reveal at least two people in the crowd returned fire at the unidentified gunman, although it was determined that they had permits for their weapons. Authorities are now seeking information about the whereabouts of a dark, four-door sedan with tinted windows that they believe was involved in the incident.

Captain James Clark told Allhiphop.com that French Montana and members of his entourage were interviewed by Philadelphia detectives on Friday and were continuing to co-operate with the investigation.
