March has arrived and when the third month of the year arrives, you start thinking playoff positioning in the NBA and March Madness.
When thinking March Madness this season, there isn't a clear number one team. Indiana recently lost to un-ranked Minnesota and lost for the third time as the number one seed. Duke once again fell and Gonzaga are trying to become the number one seed for the first time in school history. March 19th is when the madness begins. Here we go.
It was the end of the second semester in the NBA and if today were the end of the season, who would take home the MVP?
In my opinion, the most obvious choice would be LeBron James for MVP. Many names come to mind such as Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Tony Parker and Kevin Durant. James put himself over the pack with the month he just had. Especially when he's assembling the best individual season statistically since Michael Jordan in 1988-89 or 1989-90 and after he just became the first player since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, way back in March 1983, to take more than 200 shots in a calendar month and make at least 64 percent of them. The Miami Heat are tied for the best record in the league with the Spurs and capped off February 12-1. Are you ready for the second half?
Who is your MVP so far in the NBA season?
