The fairytale world Kim Kardashian seems to live in might not have always been a dream come true.
The 32-year-old reality star revealed to "Today" show host Savannah Guthrie this morning that, like her little sister, Khloe Kardashian Odom, she's struggled with fertility issues.
"Khloe has been very open about her fertility issues and I think I was always really kind of quiet about mine, and I have similar issues, and so it was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens," she shared. "That's an exciting moment; you can't plan for things like that. So I think it's just such a blessing knowing my circumstances."
While this is the first we've heard about her problems getting pregnant, it begs the question as to whether she and Kanye West had been secretly trying to start a family long before he made the big announcement at his December 30 concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Either way, she's certainly excited about her little bundle of joy with the 35-year-old rapper, due in July. One thing she's not so excited about? The fact that she's still going through a bitter divorce battle with her ex-husband, Kris Humphries.
While she's hoping her 72-day marriage to the Brooklyn Nets baller will be far behind her by the time the stork arrives, she admitted that there is no guarantee.
"As much as I would like to be in a perfect world where I was divorced... you can't plan for anything like that," she said. "I can't speak for anyone else [about why Kris hasn't signed]. It's a process. ... It's happening, hopefully."
Divorce drama aside, Kim is moving full speed ahead and said she and her main squeeze are "really happy and content" and ready to join the parenting club.
Just don't expect these two to walk down the aisle anytime soon. "[Marriage], it's something that we talk about, but I think it's just right now [we're] focusing on the baby," she said. "What I've learned in life is - I was always such a planner, and ... you think your life is going to be a certain way, and the best surprises just happen when you don't plan."
So there you have it - Kim Kardashian has "no plans" for the future other than reveling in baby bliss, but one has to wonder if momager Kris Jenner has something else in mind. Only time will tell.
