Smoking Linked To Back Pain
A study from the University of Rochester could provide another reason for people with back pain to quit smoking.
Researchers analyzed patients who were treated for back and spinal problems.
In the study, patients who were smokers suffered more pain, than non-smoking patients with back problems.
Doctors said smokers had more pain because smoking interferes with proteins in the nervous system that control pain.
