Rapper Kanye West has been forced to sit for a deposition as part of his girlfriend Kim Kardashian's divorce from Kris Humphries.
The reality TV star filed to end her 72-day marriage to basketball player Humphries in October, 2011, and the former couple has been locked in a bitter legal wrangle ever since.
The sportsman is convinced Kardashian used their televised nuptials as a publicity stunt to boost her earnings, and his lawyers have since managed to serve West with a summons to testify in the case, which he recently completed, according to TMZ.com.
The divorce returned to court on Wednesday, when Kardashian's lawyer Laura Wasser requested Humphries stop stalling the proceedings and move forward with deposing the socialite.
She also questioned why Humphries' attorneys were only now starting to raise issues with the former couple's pre-nuptial agreement, branding the move a "fishing expedition".
The judge overseeing the case has set a trial date for February 15.
