Rapper Kanye West returned to Twitter to pay tribute to the late Steve Jobs on the first anniversary of his death, just a day after quitting the micro-blogging site.
The rapper cleared his entire back catalog of tweets on Thursday, leaving just one message, which declared, "Be back soon."
However, his self-proclaimed break was short-lived. He returned to Twitter a day later to remember Jobs, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on October 5, 2011.
In a series of posts, West writes, "We lost Steve a year ago today... He is one of the most inspiring and influential human beings of our existence along with Michael Jackson, Walt Disney, and Dr. King. Let's be thankful for his life and respect his legacy by never compromising on our future."
