GE Recalls 62 Thousand Washing Machines
GE is recalling approximately 62-thousand of its Profile front load washers due to an injury hazard.
The manufacturer reports that the washer basket can separate during use and break the washer's top panel, creating a possible injury hazard.
GE has received 19 reports of the baskets separating...including 10 where the top panel broke off. GE says they have not received any reports of anyone being injured.
The recall affects model numbers beginning with WPDH8800, WPDH8900 and WPDH8910 and were sold between July 2008 and August 2011.
If you own one of the washers included in the recall, call GE appliance at 888-641-9739 to schedule a free repair.
