Michael Jackson's mother has been reinstated as his three kids' guardian after agreeing to share the responsibility with her grandson TJ.
A Los Angeles judge suspended Katherine Jackson as the primary carer of Prince, Paris and Blanket, and appointed Tito Jackson's 34-year-old son as their temporary guardian amid a family feud, which began when the matriarch was reported missing in July.
The 82-year-old returned to the Calabasas, California home she shares with the youngsters after a 10-day "vacation" at an Arizona resort.
Katherine had initially vowed to fight the court ruling and claim back full guardianship, but subsequently had a change of heart and agreed to share the job with TJ.
The deal was made official in court - exactly one week after she was stripped of guardianship - but the agreement is not yet permanent and the new arrangement will be reviewed at a status hearing on August 22nd.
Last week, Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff ordered an independent investigation into the welfare of teenagers Prince and Paris and their younger brother Blanket in a bid to determine how they were coping with the family drama, and the findings of the report were all positive.
The court-appointed investigator praised Katherine for doing a "terrific job as guardian", adding that "the children love her." He also told the court that the kids "also have a close relationship with their cousin, TJ Jackson", and admitted the plan for shared guardianship appears to be working well.
