Klondike recently announced that its bars will have thicker chocolate shells, so they don't break as soon as you pick them up. In an effort to promote the new ice cream chocolate treats, the company recruited two of the NFL's biggest personalities, Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens and Cincinnati Bengals' Chad Ochocinco, to help out. It's a contest between the two to see who has the "thicker shell." Basically, the two stars will trade disses through Klondike's Facebook page.
"I'm excited for this opportunity to slam my friend Chad," Owens said in a statement. "What would you do for a Klondike bar? How about what wouldn't Ochocinco do for attention?"
"The interesting one is very pleased to be working with Klondike," Ochocinco added. "I can eat ice cream, embarrass TO and perfect my craft all at the same time...while still looking good. POW!"
The competition started last week with Ochocinco taking the first week to trash Owens, and he got in some pretty good jabs. Our favorites so far?
"Heard things have gotten so bad in Buffalo you were on the side of the road with a sign 'Will Work for Passes.'"
"I saw you wearing your Halloween costume on TV, oh wait, that was just your outfit for the press conference."
"Too bad you're not in Dallas anymore. Their new high-def TV is the world's largest... much more fitting for the size of your head!"
While Owens does have the opportunity to respond to some of Ochocinco's disses, his all-out assault begins Nov. 18. Keep up with the roasts on Klondike's Facebook page.
