Franklin/East Football Game Will Be Broadcast Live This Saturday
Rochester residents will be able to view the upcoming boys' varsity football game between Franklin and East high schools from the comfort of their living rooms.
The game will be televised live beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17 on RCTV city cable channel 15. The game takes place at East. District staff members, volunteers, and student interns will be involved in the broadcast.
Calling the game will be Tariq Spence from The WDKX Wake Up Club and George Radney from The Challenger.
The broadcast is being made possible through a partnership between the Rochester City School District and RCTV. The station also airs the district's Students First T.V. show Mondays and Fridays at 4:00 p.m. and Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m.
Board of Education meetings are also carried live over RCTV 15; the next Board meeting is Thursday, October 22 at 6:30 p.m.
The district plans to have additional high school sporting events broadcast later in the year.
