Kanye West's clothing line Pastelle is history. Two days after the Internet was flooded with photos of different pieces from the brand, West and his financiers have decided to close up shop.
Things seemed to be looking up for the line a year ago, when the rapper sported a Pastelle logo jacket while accepting an American Music Award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist. But things have taken quite a turn since then.
In the wake of his infamous outburst at the MTV Video Music Awards, the Louis Vuitton Don exited his joint tour with Lady Gaga, canceled a planned New Year's Eve show at Madison Square Garden and on Tuesday received zero nominations for the upcoming AMAs.
In other Ye news, the artist is being embraced by Hindu leaders after announcing that he's looking to chill out at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, India.
Rajan Zed, the president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, has invited West to study with him and other leading Hindus upon his return to America: "West should put into practice what he learns at the ashram. If he needs any help in further exploring Hinduism, I would gladly guide him."
