Jay-Z Says Lil Mama Is Disrespectful
Jay-Z says Lil Mama's interruption of his "Empire State of Mind" performance at the MTV Video Music Awards was just as disrespectful as Kanye West's hijack of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech.
Speaking to Hot 97's Angie Martinez on Wednesday, Hov said of Lil Mama's actions, "Me personally, I would never do that. I would never have the nerve to do that. We went to rehearsals and went did run through and we worked really hard at the performance to put on a show for people.
"I actually thought it was equivalent to what Kanye did to Taylor Swift, but nobody really talked about that because I'm not a sweet little girl from the middle of America."
