It could be one of the biggest albums of all time.
The promotion company behind Michael Jackson's final concerts recorded the King of Pop's recent rehearsals - including his final run-through on the eve of his death - and plans to release them on CD and DVD, it was reported on Sunday.
The rehearsals at the Staples Center in Los Angeles were taped by concert promotion company AEG Live in anticipation of an album and DVD to accompany the soldout 50-show event dubbed "This Is It."
"We have a live album in the can," said an AEG official quoted by TheWrap.com's Sharon Waxman.
Frank Luby, a Boston-based music industry expert, told the Daily News that AEG Live is "sitting on a treasure-trove of material."
"It will be hard to mess this up," he said. "There's still a huge core fan base that's going to suck up anything."
"This could be the biggest album of recent times," he said.
