Natalie Cole Schedules First Concert

Natalie Cole has announced that her first live performance following kidney transplant surgery will be Sept. 9 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

The 59-year-old Grammy winner, who underwent surgery in L.A. last month, had been scheduled to start a tour on June 5. But, those dates are being rescheduled.

Cole is also thanking fans for their support following the death of her sister Carole Cole on May 19, the same day the singer had her surgery.

The daughter of Nat King Cole says she's in the midst of sorrow, but is still able to celebrate her "new lease on life."
