Whitney Houston Readies New Project
Arista Records has announced that the release date for Whitney Houston's new album is Sept. 1.
The set, her first studio CD in seven years, was shepherded by her mentor Clive Davis with hopes that it will put the pop star back on top of
her game.
The 45-year-old Grammy-winner is one of the best-selling artists of all-time, but in recent years, she's been in the headlines more for her drug problems, marital drama and erratic behavior.
In recent months, Houston has sought to put those problems behind her with well-received public performances, including a rousing set at Davis'
pre-Grammy party in February.
