The contest will seek songwriters, rappers, and singers all over the world to create material that will motivate Serena, who is the reigning Australian Open champ. The winner will be chosen by the fan community on Ludacris' and Serena's websites. Ludacris says that pop music knows no bounds and hoped to prove this with the contest. Serena adds that sports and music have such a powerful connection and she always sees athletes, including herself, using music to get ready for a game or to decompress afterwards.
