It was almost two years ago when Microsoft and LeBron James hooked up for an endorsement deal. James was the first NBA player signed to endorse Microsoft products and was tapped to specifically endorse Windows Vista.
"We're happy with him. And I know his people are happy with it, too," said Microsoft spokesman Lou Gellos back in January 2007. "We're talking about what future projects we might do with him."
Well, it looks like that isn't going to happen.
According to the Associated Press, King James' spokesman Keith Estabrook confirmed that Microsoft and James have ended their partnership. Although Microsoft isn't commenting on the split, apparently the end was written on the wall when Microsoft executive Joanne Bradford, who brokered the deal with James, resigned as head of the company's media network this year.
