Former A Tribe Called Quest front man, Q-Tip, recently taped an episode of VH1 Soul's "Soulstage" that will premiere tonight at 9.
"Soulstage: Q-Tip presented by Infiniti" was shot in front of a live studio audience and includes world premiere performances of songs from Q-Tip's new album, "Renaissance," due for release tomorrow.
Accompanied by a three-piece band, Q-Tip ripped through "Move," "Getting Up" and "Fever," and also performed classic Tribe and solo hits "Vivrant Thing," "Check The Rhyme" and "Bonita Applebaum"
Q-Tip joked with the crowd for most of the night but became emotional when he talked about one song from his new album which includes a clip from one of presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama's campaign speeches.
